Grand Opening Coming in 2006 "Waterford deserves the Coffee Shop ambiance of Seattle" states Boni Roanhouse Weis, a native of Waterford, Wisconsin. Having spent years doing business in Seattle with corporate clients and partners, Boni was familiar with visiting the local Starbuck's, and numerous varieties of coffee houses. Boni has come home!! And, she's brought her years of business experience and coffee loving expertise with her. Recently she stated: "I recall sitting at the kitchen table on First Street with my father proclaiming that our generation may be the most blessed yet, that it was totally possible that our world would be a world of information and leisure. He proposed that we would have 30 hour work weeks and enjoy pleasures that we could not even imagine." "To some degree, he was correct. In the 1960's we did not see the world of technology as it exists today. Tho' my parents were extremely busy with 8 children, sports, and activities...they could not fathom the fact that we would work even more hours and simultaneously work to be Super Mom's and Dad's at the same time." "What we offer at Java Jo'z Coffee and More is a moment to stop, to breathe, to relax, to indulge in the simplest of pleasures - a quality cup of coffee served in under a minute". A lot of study has been done on 'triggers' which allow the body to relax, rejuvenate, and to bring our brain waves from the pounding Beta waves down into the smooth serene Alpha wave state. Each moment I pause, breathe, and take that first anticipated sip...I completely shift from the enormous stress to a calm and complacent space. I feel this soft wave of comfortable energy fill my space and I create those few seconds I need to collect my thoughts, regroup and move forward with the task at hand. This was my secret weapon in Seattle - I want to share this experience with everyone, I want a place to congregate, I want to be at home again. I loved Seattle, but this is home." Boni indicated that she looked forward to having friends and family around her table at Java Jo'z, to create opportunities for fund raisers for the community and to give back a piece of her success to the community. She is looking forward to working on creative ideas with Schools, Scouts, and non-profit organizations. One of her primary roles at Microsoft included partner programs and partner management. From this she saw how entities joining together could accomplish much more than one alone. She wishes to bring this opportunity to the community and partner for success. In 2007 Java Jo'z will be located at: 29134 Evergreen Dr. Waterford, Wisconsin -- till then you can visit http://SpecialtyCoffeeCoop.com and order coffee related products for home use. They even have grinders, espresso machines, and more for home enjoyment. |
